OF JUNE 17, 2024
REGARDING CONDUCTING AN INTERNSHIP (PRACTICAL TRAINING) FOR GRADUATES OF MEDICAL FACULTY PROVIDED IN ENGLISH, REFERRED TO IN ART. 15P. ITEM 1 POINT 2 OF THE ACT ON THE PROFESSIONS OF PHYSICIANS AND DENTISTS AND CERTAIN OTHER ACTS (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1516)

hereinafter referred to as the “internship”.

 Dear Graduates,

The Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice kindly informs that the admission process consists of two stages:

STAGE I

Admission for an internship will start on July 1, 2024 and finish on July 5. Applications should be sent electronically, from July 1 till July 5, using the form available at: https://sf.sum.edu.pl/application-for-an-internship-medicine-wniosek-o-odbycie-stazu-lekarski

The limit of participants of the internship is 20, admission is based on the arithmetic average of grades obtained during their studies, and in the case of identical averages for two or more candidates, the date of completion of studies will take precedence, with priority given to those who completed their studies earlier.

Only those individuals from the ranking list who have no outstanding obligations, including financial obligations to the University, will be allowed to proceed to the second stage of the recruitment process.

Admission results will be sent electronically to the indicated e-mail address in the application form.

STAGE II

Persons qualified in stage I must submit a complete set of documents to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice (Medyków 18, 40-752 Katowice, Dean’s Office, 2^nd floor, room 201):

1. a) a medical certificate issued by a doctor authorized to carry out a preventive examination confirming that there are no health contraindications to undergoing the training,
2. b) confirmation of the conclusion of a third party liability insurance (OC) and accident insurance (NNW) contract (which provides reimbursement of, among others, documented costs of preventive post-exposure treatment) for the period of the Internship, that is: September 16, 2024-March 16, 2025,
3. c) concluding an agreement with the University for participation in the internship

The deadline for submitting the above mentioned documents is July 16, 2024.

Failure to submit the documents within the specified deadline is equal to resignation from participation in internship and results in removal from the ranking list.

hereinafter referred to as the “internship”

Dear Graduates,

The Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze kindly informs that the next admission for an internship will be carried out according to this schedule:

6th edition of the internship (August 5, 2024 – February 5, 2025)

The admission process consists of two stages.

STAGE I

Applications should be sent electronically using the form available at:

https://sf.sum.edu.pl/application-for-an-internship-wniosek-o-odbycie-stazu between June 3, 2024 – June 16, 2024

The limit of participants of the 6th edition of the internship is 4, admission is based on the arithmetic average of the grades obtained during studies, counted to two decimal digits, and in the event that two or more candidates obtain the same average, the date of graduation – with priority given to those who completed their studies earlier.

Admission results will be sent electronically to the indicated e-mail address in the application form.

STAGE II

Persons qualified in stage I from July 1, 2024 to July 12, 2024 must submit a complete set of documents to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze (pl. Traugutta 2, 41-800 Zabrze):

1. a) a medical certificate issued by a doctor authorized to carry out a preventive examination confirming that there are no health contraindications to undergoing the training,
2. b) confirmation of the conclusion of a third party liability insurance and accident insurance contract (which provides reimbursement of, among others, documented costs of preventive post-exposure treatment) for the period of the Internship,
3. c) concluding an agreement with the University for participation in the internship (contract available at the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze, room 410)

Failure to submit the documents within the specified deadline is equal to resignation from participation in internship and results in removal from the ranking list.

The minimum number of people necessary to start the internship is 2. If the minimum number of places is not filled after the second stage and lack of candidates from the reserve list, the internship will be transferred to the next edition.

SPECIFIED IN ARTICLE 15P. (1) (2) OF THE ACT AMENDING THE ACT ON THE PROFESSIONS OF THE PHYSICIAN AND DENTIST AND SOME OTHER ACTS OF LAW (UNIFIED TEXT, JURNAL OF LAWS 2022, ITEM 1731, AS AMENDED)

hereinafter referred to as the “internship”

Dear Graduates,

The Medical University in Silesia in Katowice kindly informs that:

1. Submissions of applications to the 4^th edition of the internship will start on June 12, 2023 and finish on June 16, 2023.The deadlines for application for further editions of the internship will be provided in a separate announcement.
2. Applications shall be submitted electronically via the form available at https://sf.sum.edu.pl/application-for-an-internship-wniosek-o-odbycie-stazu
3. In the 4th edition of the internship the maximum number of participants is 20. The order in which applications are sent and the date of graduation decide about admission. Confirmation of qualification will be sent electronically to the e-mail address provided in the form.
4. The condition for commencing the internship is concluding an agreement with the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice and making the payment due for participation in the internship. Sample agreement
5. Coordinators of the internship: profesor Krystian Wita, MD, PhD and Krzysztof Szydło MD, PhD from the Górnośląskie Centrum Medyczne im. prof. Leszka Gieca.

The above-mentioned Coordinators will inform about the start date of the internship and its detailed schedule.
