REGARDING CONDUCTING AN INTERNSHIP (PRACTICAL TRAINING) FOR GRADUATES OF MEDICAL FACULTY PROVIDED IN ENGLISH, REFERRED TO IN ART. 15P. ITEM 1 POINT 2 OF THE ACT ON THE PROFESSIONS OF PHYSICIANS AND DENTISTS AND CERTAIN OTHER ACTS (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 1516)
hereinafter referred to as the “internship”.
Dear Graduates,
The Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice kindly informs that the admission process consists of two stages:
STAGE I
Admission for an internship will start on July 1, 2024 and finish on July 5. Applications should be sent electronically, from July 1 till July 5, using the form available at: https://sf.sum.edu.pl/application-for-an-internship-medicine-wniosek-o-odbycie-stazu-lekarski
The limit of participants of the internship is 20, admission is based on the arithmetic average of grades obtained during their studies, and in the case of identical averages for two or more candidates, the date of completion of studies will take precedence, with priority given to those who completed their studies earlier.
Only those individuals from the ranking list who have no outstanding obligations, including financial obligations to the University, will be allowed to proceed to the second stage of the recruitment process.
Admission results will be sent electronically to the indicated e-mail address in the application form.
STAGE II
Persons qualified in stage I must submit a complete set of documents to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice (Medyków 18, 40-752 Katowice, Dean’s Office, 2nd floor, room 201):
- a) a medical certificate issued by a doctor authorized to carry out a preventive examination confirming that there are no health contraindications to undergoing the training,
- b) confirmation of the conclusion of a third party liability insurance (OC) and accident insurance (NNW) contract (which provides reimbursement of, among others, documented costs of preventive post-exposure treatment) for the period of the Internship, that is: September 16, 2024-March 16, 2025,
- c) concluding an agreement with the University for participation in the internship
The deadline for submitting the above mentioned documents is July 16, 2024.
Failure to submit the documents within the specified deadline is equal to resignation from participation in internship and results in removal from the ranking list.
