Announcement of May 15, 2026, regarding conducting an internship (practical training) for graduates of Medical and Dentistry provided in English
ANNOUNCEMENT
OF MAY 15, 2026
REGARDING CONDUCTING AN INTERNSHIP (PRACTICAL TRAINING) FOR GRADUATES OF MEDICAL AND DENTISTRY PROVIDED IN ENGLISH, REFERRED TO IN ART. 15P. ITEM 1 POINT 2 OF THE ACT ON THE PROFESSIONS OF PHYSICIANS AND DENTISTS AND CERTAIN OTHER ACTS (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1287 as amended)
hereinafter referred to as the “internship”
Dear Graduates,
The Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze kindly informs that the next admission for an internship will be carried out according to this schedule:
XI edition of the internship (August 10, 2026 – February 12, 2027)
The admission process consists of two stages.
STAGE I
Applications should be sent electronically using the form available at:
between June 15, 2026 and June 26, 2026.
The limit of participants of the XI edition of the internship is 4, admission is based on the arithmetic average of the grades obtained during studies, counted to two decimal digits, and in the event that two or more candidates obtain the same average, the date of graduation – with priority given to those who completed their studies earlier.
Admission results will be sent electronically to the indicated e-mail address in the application form.
STAGE II
Persons qualified in stage I from July 13, 2026 to July 22, 2026 must submit a complete set of documents to the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze (pl. Traugutta 2, 41-800 Zabrze):
- confirmation of the conclusion of a third party liability insurance and accident insurance contract (which provides reimbursement of, among others, documented costs of preventive post-exposure treatment) for the period of the Internship,
- concluding an agreement with the University for participation in the internship (contract available at the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Medical Sciences in Zabrze, room 408)
Failure to submit the documents within the specified deadline is equal to resignation from participation in internship and results in removal from the ranking list.
The minimum number of people necessary to start the internship is 2. If the minimum number of places is not filled after the second stage and lack of candidates from the reserve list, the internship will be transferred to the next edition.
IMPORTANT! BEFORE THE INTERNSHIP STARTS
The conditions for starting the postgraduate internship are:
- payment of the full fee for participation in the internship within 14 days after signing the contract, but no later than before the start of the postgraduate internship,
- submitting to the Dean’s Office a medical certificate issued by a doctor authorized to carry out a preventive examination confirming that there are no health contraindications to undergoing the training.
- submitting to the Dean’s Office a certificate from the National Criminal Register (KRK) regarding crimes against sexual freedom and decency and crimes of violence to the detriment of a minor, referred to in Art. 21 section 3 of the Act of 13 May 2016 on counteracting threats of sexual crime and protection of minors (Journal of Laws 2026, item 110, as amended); The certificate must be provided both from the Polish National Criminal Register (KRK) and from the graduate’s home country!
